Foreign Teachers' Work Meeting
In order to further consolidate the foundation of internationalized education and strengthen the professional development of the foreign teaching staff, on the afternoon of March 17th, Anqing Foreign Language School held a new semester foreign teachers' work meeting for the 2025-2026 academic year in the second-floor meeting room of the East District Administrative Building. Wang Yinchai, Director of the International Department, presided over the meeting with all foreign teachers gathering together to discuss the new semester's educational planning and pool new strength for the integration of Chinese and foreign education.
First and foremost, at the beginning of the meeting, Director Wang Yinchai extended her sincere greetings to all the foreign teachers for the new semester, stating that foreign teachers are the core backbone of Anqing Foreign Language School's internationalized education and an important bridge connecting Chinese and foreign cultures. Their professional qualities and professional images directly affect the improvement of Anqing Foreign Language School's international education quality. In the past semester, the foreign teacher team has empowered the classrooms with diverse teaching concepts, helping students broaden their international horizons, and injecting fresh vitality into the development of Anqing Foreign Language School's international education, which is worthy of full recognition.
Furthermore, centered around the key tasks of the new semester, the meeting clearly set requirements from four dimensions to consolidate the foundation of the foreign teachers' work. Initially, deepen the construction of teacher ethics and conduct, which requires all foreign teachers to adhere to the original intention of education, rpect the cultural differences between China and foreign countries, uphold the principle of educational equity, actively integrate into Anqing Foreign Language School's educational system, and become good mentors and friends for students in cross-cultural communication, thus spreading positive educational values. In addition, standardize teaching and educational routines, which emphasizes that foreign teachers must strictly abide by the school's teaching management system, study the textbooks carefully, optimize teaching designs, innovate teaching methods based on students' learning situations, and create classes that are both interesting and effective; in the meantime, they should keep records of classes, track students' learning situations, provide feedback, and ensure the steady improvement of teaching quality through standardized teaching management, helping students develop comprehensive abilities. Moreover, strictly adhere to the bottom line of campus safety, which requires foreign teachers to be familiar with the campus safety regulations, constantly monitor the safety conditions of students in the classroom and outside the campus, actively cooperate with Anqing Foreign Language School's safety management work, and promptly identify and eliminate safety hazards during daily teaching and interaction, working together with Anqing Foreign Language School to build a student safety protection network. Last but not the least, assist in campus cultural construction, which encourages foreign teachers to actively participate in various campus activities, using classroom teaching, campus festivals and club guidance as carriers, thus actively spreading local culture, sharing foreign customs, promoting in-depth integration of Chinese and foreign cultures, enriching the campus cultural connotation, and allowing students to expand their international perspectives through immersive experiences.
In addition, the meeting particularly emphasized the norms for managing the image of teachers. Director Wang Yinzhai reminded everyone that when foreign teachers post content on social platforms such as Douyin and WeChat Moments, they must always maintain their identity as teachers, adhere to a positive orientation, pay attention to the standardization of their words and deeds, present the image of Anqing Foreign Language School's teachers in a professional, friendly and sunny manner, and consciously safeguard the good reputation of Anqing Foreign Language School's internationalized education.
Last but not the least, the foreign teachers present at the meeting listened attentively and took detailed notes, who all expressed their firm determination to fulfill their duties,  stating that they would strictly implement all the requirements of the meeting, with greater enthusiasm and a more professional attitude to engage in the new semester's work, thus enhancing cross-cultural communication and collaboration, delving deeper into the teaching front line, actively integrating into the campus of Anqing Foreign Language School, contributing to the further improvement of Anqing Foreign Language School's internationalization level, and helping cultivate outstanding talents with both local sentiments and international perspectives.
In conclusion, not only did the convening of this meeting clarify the direction and guidelines for the foreign teacher work in the new semester, but also deepened the consensus on collaboration between the Chinese and foreign education teams. In the future, Anqing Foreign Language School will continue to deepen the construction of the foreign teachers' team, promote the deep integration of Chinese and foreign educational concepts, and allow diverse cultures to coexist and blend on campus, thus writing a new chapter for Anqing Foreign Language School's internationalization development.
